When the Spotlight Award first premiered in the Fall of 1997, there were just a handful of folks in Burlington County experimenting with school websites. At that time, the purpose of the Spotlight Award was to locate, share and celebrate those pioneering online efforts. We've been told that many local web page designers checked out our Spotlight Award links for models as they created their district's web pages. That is flattering to all involved!
At this point, however, with a majority of area districts finding a "home" online with their websites, the need for the Spotlight Award has passed. While we will proudly maintain the links on this page to continue honoring the webmasters (and webmistresses) who set such a high standard, no new Spotlight Awards will be made.
